We plan to join together with hundreds of other congregations around the world for this June series, as the Church unites in action to reach our world. We pray to Jesus asking Him to answer our prayers - what if we became the answer to His? In John 17:20-24 He prayed that we would be one, and One Prayer is an opportunity to see what can be accomplished when the Church works together.
In June 2008, God worked in amazing ways as more than two million believers stood together to pray, fast, learn, and love others. This year, we’ll be joining forces once again for an extraordinary worldwide experience: One Prayer 2009.
Beginning the first weekend in June, we’ll come together for four weeks as we learn more about our Creator and go out into the world to share, serve and give. We’ll partner around the globe and explore the theme...

Summer VBX:
As summer quickly approaches, one of the awesome opportunities we have created to bless the kids of our congregation and community is Vacation Bible eXperience (VBX).
We will be holding VBX August 10th-13th, from 9 am to noon each day.Your kids won’t want to miss a minute of X-treme Days! Our vision for VBX is to reach out into the community to touch the lives of kids. We pray that VBX is the turning point towards Jesus in the lives of kids who may have never had a fun experience at church. We will be spending each day at VBX learning about our extreme God through high energy songs, activities, skits and performances!
Can you feel the excitement yet? Are you interested in helping us with this ministry? We will need all levels of involvement, from team leaders, performance participants and worship/dance leaders to the behind the scenes group, running the snacks, paperwork and materials portion of the VBX week.
“Key” Ceremony

Our own Jeanette Ross, mom to 8 year old Corbin and foster mom to 3 year old Christopher is slated to receive the “Keys” to her very own house! We had the joy of seeing Jeanette immersed into Jesus and have witnessed her growth through the years. She was chosen over a year ago to begin this “partnership” with SPS Habitat, leading to the reception of this new home. Come on everybody - Rejoice with those who rejoice!

Jeanette is a massage therapist with her own business (Absolute Relaxation). She has been investing “Sweat Equity” (500+ hrs) into the brand-new facility (just a mile or so from CVCC) for many months. Many from the community and a few from the church and family have erected this facility from the bare-ground - UP! We are so excited to celebrate this fantastic day of dreams coming true & Home Ownership! Please join us for the celebration in front of her new home on Sat. July 18th, at 10 AM!
